Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add milk and vanilla, mix well, then combine with dry ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using, then scoop dough onto baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, cool on sheet briefly, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and let cool on the sheet.
