Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch pans.
- Whisk flour, cocoa, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix in buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in boiling water until smooth.
- Divide batter into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes. Cool completely.
- Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream to make ganache. Pour over cooled layers.
