Method
- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in salt and pepper.
- Add Velveeta cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Pour cheese sauce over macaroni and stir to combine.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use whole milk or add a pinch of nutmeg to the cheese sauce.
