  • 1 pound pasta (rotini, penne, or shells)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (any color)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta, drain, and rinse with cold water. Set aside to cool.
  2. Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, milk, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add cooled pasta, celery, red onion, and bell pepper to the dressing. Stir to combine.
  4. Stir in parsley, if using.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve cold.

Notes

For a tangier flavor, add a bit more vinegar or a squeeze of lemon juice.
