  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Oat Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice; transfer to a greased baking dish.
  3. Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt to make the topping.
  4. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and apples are tender.
